Top things to do in London this Easter Weekend

There’s lots of fun and entertaining things to do over the Easter holidays, from Easter egg hunts to Sunday lunch. Whether you’re spending it with the family or friends, our suggestions should give you an idea or two.

City Farms

It may come as a surprise but there are actually some small farms buried throughout London. Spitalfields City Farm has animal welfare at its core and they offer free entry to all guests, where you can meet a variety of animals such as donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, and even a ferret. While you’re there you can also visit their farm shop where they sell organic produce, or their tea hut that sells hot drinks as well as ethically, locally sourced food.

Easter Egg Hunts

If you’re in the city with the family for the weekend, an Easter egg hunt is a must. Kensington Palace have brought back their Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt this year. As you follow the trail and find the golden bunnies, you will uncover stories about different characters and if you find them all you’ll win a prize! Pre-booking is advised, but you’ll also get full access to the palace.

Sunday Lunch

While we all know it’s a tradition to have a roast for Sunday lunch on Easter weekend, why not try something with a little twist this year? Chino Latino London is offering a selection of three Easter Sunday bottomless brunch menus, all including bottomless sushi, a dessert platter for the table and more.

Kitchen at Holmes also has a special menu available exclusively for Easter Sunday, offering a magnificent selection of dishes to create the perfect Sunday roast alternative. Bookings must be made in advance.

Easter Services

A traditional way to spend Easter weekend is by attending special services held across the weekend, such as Sung Eucharist, Holy Communion, and Evensong. You can attend any of these over the weekend for free and without booking at Westminster Abbey, which is just a short walk away from some of our hotels.

Afternoon Tea

Bank holiday weekends are for relaxing, rejuvenating and quality time. Spending the afternoon nibbling on sandwiches or cake whilst enjoying a pot of English breakfast tea is the perfect way to get some down time after a busy week. VIC’s bar at Park Plaza Victoria London has a delightful selection of teas, cakes and sandwiches to fulfil your afternoon tea needs. Bookings must be made in advance with the hotel.

There are so many ways to spend your Easter weekend in London, whether it’s jam-packed full of activities, or more easy-going and relaxing time.
